A future non-emergency support line to observe, report, provide reassurance and contact emergency services where appropriate.

We are not a replacement for the police. Every activity will comply with UK law, safeguarding, equality and industry requirements.

Is Protect Our Postcode replacing the police? +
No. Protect Our Postcode does not seek police powers and is not a replacement for Dorset Police. Its purpose is to provide additional lawful reassurance, community support and a visible professional presence where appropriate.
How will contributions be managed? +
The organisation intends to operate through a Company Limited by Guarantee, with funds used solely for community benefit. Open-book accounting is central to the vision.
Can I still register for the 8 August event? +
Registrations for the 8 August Protect Our Postcode event are now closed. Registered guests will receive the information needed for entry directly from the team.
Can local businesses and organisations get involved? +
Yes. Protect Our Postcode wants to work constructively with local businesses, charities, community organisations, Dorset Police and BCP Council wherever possible.
